“The first thing that was apparent was the unpleasant aroma of dog urine that had obviously penetrated the furniture, rugs & carpets of which the 2 small plug ins did nothing to mask!”
The kitchen lacked a sieve & grater therefore making a simple pasta meal difficult! The fencing around the decking needs attention, rotting spindles which are loose, as does the metal chairs, one of the legs had rusted through. Despite daily hot tubs checks it might be frugal to drain it and clean the black mould that has accumulated in crevices.
En-suite door gets stuck, quite a panicky feeling when a door doesn't open. The shower in the en-suite also didn't enable you to change the temperature as the handle was loose,
Entry code to security gates incorrect!
Patio door lock very stiff and temperamental.
No toilet brushes....
Unannounced visit from a window cleaner in the rain!
Cupboards that left our clothes smelling musty, previous guests rubbish in draws. The list is endless.
For a holiday home that has endless rules and regulations may I suggest you get the place in order first before you insist on any of these.
I wouldn't return nor would I recommend considering the amount paid for this accommodation.
Thank you for your feedback.
We were to sorry to learn that your stay at Rydal Lodge did not meet your expectations on this occasion.
Please be advised that upon your departure, the lodge was checked, and no smell was present in the lodge.
There is sieve and grater also in the kitchen.
The decking is being looked at and your comments are taken under advisement.
We will ask our Maintenance Team to investigate the comments raised regarding the shower.
Please be aware that the hot tub is maintained daily, and is checked 2 times a day, any issues dealt with. As per the guidelines, the hot tub is drained down, cleaned and refilled upon each changeover.
We are sorry that unlike other guests who have stayed at Rydal, that you did not enjoy your time.
