Roz “A great 'glamping pod'.”
Very well presented - facilities excellent - had everything we needed and more! Great location with just a short drive into Kirkby Lonsdale itself, to lots of 'free' parking, before we set off on our walking trails with our Labrador, Mabel. The hot tub was very welcome after completing many miles walking through the beautiful countryside. (Just one mall request for the future - could there be 4 pillows - 2 each please). Would definitely return!

- Paul, April 2024Pip “Great small site.”
The pods are brilliant and hot tub fabulous. So greatful for the canopy over to still be able to tub in the rain. Bbq great bonus. I would perhaps suggest salt and pepper being available in the pod as had to go out and purchase. Location remote but 10 mins away from ingleton which is a great place. Would recommend

- Helen, August 2023Louise “Absolutely would recommend and would book again, only issue we had was getting to ...”
Absolutely would recommend and would book again, only issue we had was getting to the town,if the footpath was extended it would be ideal instead of having to walk on the main road or cut through fields

Sandra “We had an absolutely fantastic few days away.”
However, I would like to advise that there isn’t a pub within walking distance from the site. If the one you advertise as being close is the Whoop Hall, this is closed and the chap who looks like he is caretaking the property wasn’t at all friendly when we walked there and asked if it was open. He told us in no uncertain terms that it was NOT!!! Could I suggest a dustpan and brush be put in each chalet? And maybe a larger towel or advise people to bring a robe or large towel. The small heated radiator in the bathroom was fantastic for drying smaller items but not towels. Overall though we had a throughly wonderful time, thank you x
- Sandra, August 2022Tank you for your feedback and we are pleased to hear you had a wonderful stay. We are sorry to hear about the pub and we will investigate this further and update the property details. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Property Owner

About the location
KIRKBY LONSDALE
Kendal 9 miles.
An attractive market town, Kirkby Lonsdale is situated in the heart of the Lune Valley, midway between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. The town was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086, and holds a 13th century Market Charter. Nowadays, Thursday is market day, a perfect opportunity for visitors to explore the variety of distinctive independent shops in the town, or the many 17th and 18th century buildings which still stand. The town was also a finalist for the High Street of the Year Award in 2016. This part of the Lune Valley was a favourite haunt of the artist Turner, and was made famous by Ruskin – his "view" of the valley is still spectacular. The medieval Devil’s Bridge spans the river, and the quiet country lanes are ideal for exploring by car, bike, or even horse. There are three golf courses nearby, as well as tennis, riding, fishing and a variety of riverside and country walks, making the area an ideal location for a break, whatever time of year. When voting Kirkby Lonsdale as the ‘Best Place to Live in The North West’ in 2019, The Sunday Times commented it is “An unbeatable Lake District location, bags of community spirit and one of the cleanest high streets in the country".
