A fantastic, single-story holiday stay, Watch Tree provides four guests with an excellent base for explorations of Cumbria and the Lake District.

Located on The Pastures, a prestigious lodge park, just a mile from the picturesque village of Cartmel, set on the outskirts of the charming village of Allithwaite, Watch Tree boasts two king-size bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms that can accommodate up to four guests, and an outdoor hot tub.

Enter your lovely new home and proceed through the well-appointed utility room, which contains the washer and dryer, before entering the tastefully-laid out, open-plan living area.

Enjoy preparing your favourite meals in the elegant, fully-equipped kitchen, which features neutral, dark cabinets and stylish, wooden worktops.

Here, you'll find high-end appliances like a gas hob and electric oven, as well as two fridges, each of which has an icebox.

Serve your meals at the dining table, which is positioned in front of a wide window that lights up the room, further illuminated from above by creative feature lighting, the perfect spot to catch up about the highlights of the day over a glass or two of wine.

As the day turns into night, settle down on one of the two plush sofas in front of the Smart TV and flick through your preferred streaming services to find the newest film to watch.

When sleep calls, retire to one of two inviting bedrooms at the end of the day; both are similarly furnished, featuring opulent, king-size beds, and equipped with wall-mounted Smart TVs that have also provide an amazing living flame effect to make your really feel at home.

Step into the en-suite shower room to discover a completely tiled washing area with underfloor heating, a de-misting mirror, and a rainfall showerhead for that extra bit of luxury.

Each bedroom has a private exit to the rear decking, where you can unwind with a drink before taking a soothing dip in the hot tub.

You can also make use of the front decking, which has equipment for alfresco dining, ideal in the summer.

This lovely area is located on the outskirts of the sleepy village of Allithwaite, which has a local store and a pub.

To the north, in the village of Cartmel, which many people consider to be the Lake District's prettiest village, are charming, cobbled streets, traditional pubs, and antique stores.

Enjoy a day at the dozen or so events held at Cartmel Racecourse each year, or for a truly special occasion, visit L'Enclume, Simon Rogan's highly revered, two Michelin-starred restaurants.

Visit the magnificent Holker Hall & Gardens, one of the most well-known historic homes in the north, which is open for visits and has a café, whilst an excursion to the Lakeland Motor Museum is also recommended.

Enjoy a day at the beach in the charming seaside town of Grange-over-Sands, which offers a variety of amusements and picturesque walks along its promenade.

Create memorable experiences at the Water Park Lakeland Adventure Centre on Coniston Water, or visit Lake Windermere for further boat excursions, water sports, and stunning lakeside views.

The South Lakes Safari Zoo, Lake Aquarium, Hill Top and Grizedale Forest, which is home to Go Ape and a variety of exhilarating mountain biking courses, can all be reached within a short drive.
