The property

Latrigg Lodge is a lovely pine lodge resting in Burnside Holiday Park on the outskirts of Keswick, Cumbria. Enjoying a superb location within the Lake District National Park and just paces away from the local amenities and Keswick’s fantastic attractions, Latrigg Lodge is a fabulous base for your next getaway to the Lakes.

The property benefits from its own parking space, with additional parking available on-site, and a wonderful, decked area where you can sit and enjoy your morning coffee as you take in the superb countryside views. Be welcomed into the light and airy open-plan living space, where you can cook up a storm in the fully equipped kitchen, ready to enjoy a tasty home-cooked meal with your loved ones at the dining table for six.

After dinner, kick-back and relax on the plush sofas in front of the electric stove as your favourite show plays out on the Smart TV.

Continue through to find the well-appointed family bathroom, where you can freshen up with your choice of bath or shower, before retiring to one of three tastefully decorated bedrooms, two doubles, one with en-suite shower room, and a twin.

All of which are perfect for catching up on some well-deserved rest. Wander into Keswick, where you can tour the Derwent Pencil Museum and the Keswick Museum, dine at The Pheasant Inn or The Bank Tavern, catch a live performance at the Theatre By The Lake, learn bushcraft, or take a canoe out to the magical Derwent Island and House. Continue on to nearby Bassenthwaite, where you can spot the local wildlife at the Bassenthwaite Lake National Nature Reserve, visit the popular Lake District Wildlife Park, or take on the imposing 931m Skiddaw peak, promising incomparable views at its top.

Next stop is Ullswater, where you can take in the beauty of the Aira Force Waterfalls, try your hand at watersports on Ullswaters vast lake, and visit the nearby historic sites of Dalemain Mansion & Historic Gardens and Lowther Castle & Gardens.

KESWICK

Bassenthwaite 7 miles, Ullswater 16.6 miles; Cockermouth 13 miles.

The popular town of Keswick is the holiday centre of the North of the Lake District and has plenty to offer the visitor at any time of year. The town boasts numerous shops and restaurants to suit all tastes, as well as offering miniature golf, excellent parks, the famous Theatre by the Lake, a charming cinema, the Pencil Museum, a climbing wall, fishing and great mountain biking opportunities, whilst the beautiful lake of Derwentwater at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley is only a few minutes walk from the town centre. Nearby, between Braithwaite and Buttermere is the beautiful Newlands Valley, while picturesque Bassenthwaite Lake is well worth a visit. From a gentle countryside ramble to a challenging hike up Skiddaw or the famous Catbells, there really is something for everyone. Visit Castlerigg Stone Circle, the Jennings Brewery and Mirehouse, a grand house and gardens on the shores of the Bassenthwaite Lake, or take a fabulous boat trip around Derwentwater.
