White Cross Bay
White Cross Bay is situated on the shores of Lake Windermere at one of the most idyllic and scenic locations in the very heart of the Lake District.
The panorama of the lake, surrounding fells and countryside is simply breathtaking. Staying in a lodge at White Cross Bay, one of the Lake District's most exclusive locations, will provide you with a memorable and relaxing holiday.
A delightful lakeside location
White Cross Bay boasts a range of facilities and sits directly on the shores of Lake Windermere. Located just off the A591 between the villages Windermere and Ambleside it is close to all the local attractions and is surrounded by beautiful fells and panoramic lake views.
The popular centre of Bowness on Windermere with it's many restaurants and bars is a short distance away. The famous Windermere Lake Cruises can be taken from here or the pier at the nearby Lake District Visitor Centre at Brockhole.
This makes White Cross Bay the perfect base from which to explore the Lake District.
Marina with direct access to Lake Windermere
White Cross Bay has its own marina with direct access to the Lake and one of the best boat launching facilities on Windermere Lake. Fees are payable for boat mooring and launching as well as taking smaller boats and kajaks onto the park on trailers. Guests interested in using these facilities should contact White Cross Bay on 015394 43937 for more details and to make arrangements.
Tuition for various water sports (canoeing, water skiing, sailing etc) can be found at the nearby Low Wood Bay Water sports Centre or in Bowness.
The park has been awarded the David Bellamy Gold Award for its commitment to protecting the environment. It is located in 60 acres of woodland and countryside where guests can enjoy the natural surroundings where wildlife abounds.
