Really relaxing family time !! Very good location ,friendly staff and great time ! One small issue was bad reception on the TV! But overall I would visit the site again ! Richard Hartley, Bradford
Fine but a bit tired.

This property felt reasonably private, tucked away from most of the rest of the site, but this did mean that it was quite close to the main road. The hot tub was a great treat. The lodge was very clean inside but some of the fittings and furniture were broken or damaged and had clearly been that way for some time. They could all easily have been put right and so it felt a bit neglected and tired and in need of attention which was a shame. Joshua Ellicott, Chorley
Good but could be better

Woodland Beck is pleasantly situated although the main road runs along the back and you can hear the constant flow of traffic when in the bedrooms which doesn't make for a restful nights sleep. The hot tub is private which is a bonus as there are no other lodges behind. There are toys and books for the kids which is nice. It was very clean with adequate towels provided. The lodge itself is adequate enough but there are a few things that could make it more comfortable. Some welcome refreshments would be nice which we've had in other lodges we've stayed at in this park. There were a couple of packets of small biscuits but not enough for everyone. There are hardly any toiletries provided even though the lodge can accommodate 6 people. Enough toilet paper though. The beds are quite lumpy and hard but I suppose that depends on what you are used to. The kitchen appliances could do with an overhaul. The blinds were falling apart. The hot tub is spacious and very nice but had a tide mark and scum, could have done with a good clean. This was off putting. All in all it was an average lodge but has the potential to be much better with only a few small adjustments. Rebecca Parveen, Sale

Things we liked about Woodland Beck
Monday 4 April 2016
The lodge looked very comfortable when we arrived, colourful and well lit. It was warm, something about which I had been worried. There were plenty of towels each but we would have liked a bathroom and a kitchen towel, we had to buy some extras. Once we had sorted out the workings of the electric oven it was efficient but since there were very faint or no markings on the facia and no instructions it took ages to get the oven warmed up. The crockery was clean and adequate but the bigger frying pan looked very much the worst for wear and we vegetarians couldn't use it as it had stains on it, maybe steak or bacon which we couldn't get off. The hot tub was fantastic and we even went in in a rain/hail storm with an umbrella up. Lovely hot water and cold rain on our faces. It is in a good location, the fitter of us could walk to Windermere or Ambleside. There were 2 parking spaces and a third by kind arrangement with our neighbours. All in all we had a fabulous Celebratory weekend. Guest , Lymm
About White Cross Bay
White Cross Bay is located between Windermere & Ambleside on the shores of Lake Windermere. It is one of the most popular holiday parks in the very heart of the Lake District and the great location makes it a convenient base for a self catering stay in the area.
The focal point is the lake front and marina with stunning views across to the surrounding fells and countryside. The park offers plenty to do with a large clubhouse which includes the bar, restaurant and leisure facilities (a £15 local charge applies to use the pool and gym).
