beautiful lodge and location

Recently stayed at selamat lodge for 4 nights and it was everything the website had described and more, the owners had left us a bottle of wine and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed, tea, coffee, sugar, oil, spices dishwasher tablets washing up liquid etc, the lodge was very clean and comfortable and the hot tub was lovely, the location of the lodge made it feel private with no one overlooking the hot tub, would highly recommend this lodge for a peaceful break or holiday. Before booking this lodge we read the reviews, and from that we were reassured that this lodge would not disappoint. And it did not! We had a fantastic week here, located on the edge of Lake Windermere. The lodge was well-planned, well-equipped, warm, homely and inviting. It was great that we could take our little dog there too, and the gated decking outside made it easy for him to enjoy himself. We used the hot tub every day, which was absolute heaven, and it is positioned to ensure that privacy can be enjoyed whilst taking a dip. It was good to find that the lodge is also equipped with videos, DVD's and CD's for guests to enjoy. The bed was comfortable so we slept well during our stay. We would like to say to the owners - thank you for the welcome bottle of wine on arrival, which we much enjoyed. We would heartily recommend this accommodation to anyone searching for quality accommodation in The Lakes. Peter Lubbock, Cowes
Beautiful Lodge with a fabulous Hot Tub

Beautiful Location, so peaceful and the Lodge was just looked so inviting. There was a bottle of wine as a welcome give which was a lovely touch, coffee, sugar and tea was provided as well as many accessories the owners thought of everything. We were unsure where the lights switch was for the outside, but a quick text to owners and quick reply let us know everything we needed to know. The hot tub is really easy to use and great and really private, there was a large hedge at the side which was perfect. Everything was really perfect, there are onsite facilities, and a shop a little expensive which was expected. We used the indoor pool several times which is great, but just be aware that they ask you to put your shoes on the shelf outside the changing room, unfortunately for my husband someone took a shine to his trainers and took them, the park staff tried to locate them and were really sympathetic but could find them, not but off though we have booked again next year at the same lodge, cant wait. Peaceful location with the luxury of a hot tub

A very peaceful holiday park considering the size of the site and we were staying at peak time - August. It was lovely to walk down to the Lake. However, its a shame there is no pier to walk onto - the access around the lake side is very limited. The hot tub was an extra bonus and a sheer joy after a long day enjoying the Lakes!
