We paid for early arrival and arranged to have our food shopping delivered as the local ASDA is in Kendal. On arrival we were delighted with the lodge; it was modern, immaculately clean and spacious, with enough room to comfortably fit a family of four. The kitchen is particularly well equipped, with a slow cooker, lots of pots and pans, dishwasher. a fully stocked spice cupboard and even a spare kettle. We discovered that our hosts had provided plenty of the essentials - tea, coffee, sugar, toilet and kitchen roll, dishwasher tablets and many other things that we had forgotten to pack/order, and they even left us a bottle of wine as a welcome gift. We took our two dogs and were really pleased with the on-site dog walking facilities. We got really lucky with the weather and had 5 days of glorious sunshine and high temperatures, which was made even better by the hot tub and our outside seating area. Everyone was very friendly and the park facilities were well suited to the area; an indoor pool, a family pub/restaurant with outside seating and a marina. The only criticisms of the site itself was the convience store which charged almost £10 for a packet of cigarettes, so if you are a smoker definitely stock up before you go or be prepared to pay their prices, and the wifi connection is awful. Invest in a dongle (we forgot!). There were instructions in the cabin on how to access an apparently better connection but we couldn't follow them and were stuck with the on site Wifi. The mobile signal is also a bit hit and miss. We loved our stay and we had a brilliant week, we wish we could have stayed longer. Looking forward to booking again and have already recommended the cabin and the site itself to our friends and family. Guest , Wigan
Nice place to stay

Selamat was an excellent place for a week end break. A bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch. The kitchen was well stocked with bags and cleaning material etc. The hot tub was definitely better quality than the one at the nearby lodge at which our friends were staying. Guest , Chester
Fantastic dog friendly lodge!

We had such a fab weekend break at Selamat Lodge we did not want to come home! Slight hiccup on arrival due to no bedding but this matter was quickly resolved and did not impact on our stay at all. The customer service was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble, they made us feel very welcome. Our lodge (Selamat Lodge) was gorgeous, very clean, beautifully decorated and extremely well equipped. It has everything you could think of so dont take the kitchen sink! The hot tub was amazing and although it was December and the weather wasnt at its best, we made good use of it, using it 2/3 times each day/night. We are a couple in our late 20's, early 30's and can honestly say this park has something for every age group. We also took our 2 dogs (a staffie and a collie) and they were made very welcome too. I tend to find a lot of parks discriminate against certain breeds however there was nothing of the sort here, infact we actually got stopped a few times by people wanting to make a fuss of our dogs and the dogs loved every minute of it! If you are like us and your dogs are important members of your family then this park is the one to choose and i'd even recommned booking Selamat Lodge, your four legged friends will love it and it has a secure gate on the deck so the dogs are free to roam around. We will defo be back in 2015 and Selamat Lodge will be our 1st lodge of choice. Can not wait! Please pass on our thanks to Bob and Denise. Guest , Alloa
