This is our second visit to Esthwaite lodge , and still the views and lodge do not disappoint . The lodge is excellent and has everything you need, books, games DVD's for those rainy days . The park site is clean and surrounding views are breathtaking, dogs are made welcome with a lovely walking area(also very clean) and even welcome in the pub . We have booked again for 2016 and I cannot wait to go back. It is a must to book this lodge, you will honestly fall in love with it . The lodge is on a site that is a great location to get around the lakes, just a few minutes in the car from Bowness and there are plenty of walks that you can do and places to visit locally . I really recommend a visit . Nichola Maguire, Manchester

This was the perfect place to go for some quality piece and quiet. We stayed end of August with our parents and our 2 French bull dogs, Bojangles & Bonnie. The lodge was perfect for the 2 dogs as it has a very safe, gated & large patio area attached to the lodge so we could relax without worrying about the dogs wondering off. If you had young children it would be perfect for this reason too. Weather permitting. The weather was lovely why we were there and again the patio area was perfect for this as it had a lovely big table, chairs and 2 recliners to relax in, read & drift off. The sound of the stream right next to the lodge I s very tranquil. Warren & Claire from Warwickshire. Warren Cooper, Wood End, Atherstone

Esthwaite Lodge is in the beautifully positioned Limefitt Park. It's peaceful and idyllic but only a 10/15 drive to Windermere/Bowness. It's in what I consider to be one of the nicest positions on the park. The lodge itself is always well maintained, clean, comfortable and well equipped. Guest , Bolton

The esthwaite lodge is immaculate and very comfortable. Everything you need for an enjoyable stay in the Lake District, whatever the weather. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the surroundings were beautiful. We ate at the restaurant on Limefitt Park, where the food was delicious and all of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Only a couple of things would have made this stay more enjoyable and those would be a hot tub at the lodge and a swimming facility on site. We did use the free access to Low Wood Club, which was lovely but it's a 10 minute drive away. Not far but our older children would have loved to go for an early morning swim, without having to drive with us. That said, I would highly recommend this lodge and park. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay. Guest , Redcar

We have been to various lodges in different parts of the lake district. This lodge was one of the nicest we have stayed in. The lodge was immaculate and very tastefully decorated. Everything you could think of was provided. Fantastic location overlooking the stream. We saw lots of ducks and even a heron. It was a very peaceful. Ideal place to get away from it all. Ben (our cocker spaniel) loved the enclosed dog field. He loved exploring it and found the stream running alongside the fence. Any sign of water and Ben will find it!!!! Needless to say he was in it every day. All in all a lovely, relaxing week away in a cosy, clean lodge. The only thing not great was the weather - but you can't have everything. Would definitely return to this site/lodge. Guest , Middlesbrough
